“ this cute rooftop terrace bar has a different menu to the main dining room, so we got to try a bunch of little things! @martinez Gyuere Croquettes were not too bad but a bit one dimensional in flavour. Burrata and Stracciatella were lovely and so were the Garlic Baguettes there was some confusion with the salads as we ordered 2 Mediterranean salads and added halloumi, but they came without the extras so we had to ask for them again. when they did come out, the halloumi was on a side dish? we were just surprised because we thought it would be chopped and actually added to the salad lol? anyway the salads were good and fresh the Martinez Fish Burger was definitely my favourite, i loved the yoghurt tartare and how crispy the fish was! Spaghetti, spanner crab and yuzu pasta on the other hand was not good, had a very strong 'yeasty' flavour that made the whole dish taste like beer Check out my food Instagram @erinxeats for more! ”
“ Dined at Martinez for post work dinner. We initially booked the terrace but the music outside was deafening… The staff were super accomodating and moved us inside. The burger here is amazing!! I liked it more than the burger at the Gidleys It was a very pleasant surprise. However, the duck gnocchi tasted like a failed fusion dish… The XO sauce was way too overpowering and you could not taste the duck at all. I was left confused because the texture of the gnocchi did not go with the sauce. The other dishes were just ok but I would come back for the burger! ”
